First generation F-bodies are like a blank canvas. You can go about your build a variety of ways which allows for some very unique outcomes. This car is custom tailored to meet and even exceed what the owner envisioned.
Starting with what was just a rolling chassis (No engine, drivetrain or interior), we built this car from the ground up to have modernized power, handling and stopping power all while keeping the classic and iconic style of the Camaro.
Power is generated by an LSX 376-B15 crate motor topped with a Whipple 2.9L Supercharger. A Holley HP EFI standalone ECU keeps everything in check and offers easy turn-key operation and worry free driving enjoyment. A Spec Clutch and T-56 Magnum means the owner is getting the maximum drivers’ experience and thrill of speed with every single shift to redline. Even on moderate boost of 13lbs, this beast brings blunt force trauma to the tables to the tune of 650whp and 660 ft/lbs of frame twisting torque.
Planning ahead of the new powertrain’s capabilities, we reinforced the unibody with a Speedtech subframe and updated the suspension with Viking coilovers up front and adjustable Viking shocks in the rear. All of this is complimented by a Speedtech suspension setup. All of this helps to revolutionize the handling and bring confidence in controlling this car either on an easy weekend cruise or out on the highway at speed.
Braking is brought about by Willwood calipers and rotors on all four corners, with Avant Garde wheels wrapped in sticky R888 tires.
Detroit Speed minitubs help give more clearance for the rear of the car with the greatly needed wider contact patch. Speedtech longtube headers and custom exhaust with QTP oval electric cutouts help channel this force fed LSX’s bellow from mild to wild at the flip of a switch.
Interior work, stereo and lighting was performed by JD Glassworks here in Lubbock, TX.
All of this brings an updated feel, comfort and total control while strapped in by 5-point Stroud camlock harnesses.

I would kill for an LSX.
Buddy of mine crashed his new Camaro, and he seemed upset that the first thing I said was “did the engine make it?”
